LG’s SuperSlim Gram Laptop: Ultra-Thin Design, Stunning OLED Screen

When it comes to ultrabooks, nothing beats the MacBook. But they cost an arm and a leg, and not everyone can afford them. So the best thing to do is to look for Windows-based offerings. And here, LG is unrivaled in the market. The South Korean company recently launched the SuperSlim Gram. This is a serious challenger to Apple’s MacBook Air, and not only.

LG SuperSlim Gram Highlights

The LG Gram SuperSlim (formerly the Ultraslim) is considered the “thinnest LG Gram ever.” At least, this is what was highlighted by the company’s press release. It is 0.43 inches thick – slimmer than the M2 MacBook Air – and boasts a 15.6-inch OLED screen, compared to Apple’s 13.6-inch IPS display. Oh, and the LG is 2.2 pounds lighter than the MacBook Air, which weighs 2.7 pounds.

The LG Gram SuperSlim is now available for $1,699.99. While it might sound overpriced, you should know that it features a 13th-generation Intel Evo Core i7-1360P CPU, 16 gigabytes of LPDDR5 RAM, and a 512GB SSD. There are also three USB-C interfaces (two with Thunderbolt 4 capability and one with just USB 4) and a headphone jack.

Designed with ultra-portability in mind, LG’s gram SuperSlim laptops measure at just .43-inches thick, making it the thinnest LG gram ever.

There is an option that will cost you $1,999.99. It comes with 32GB of RAM and 2TB of SSD storage. Moreover, if you get your hands on one of the new SuperSlim models before 14 May, LG will throw in its external USB-C 16-inch +view Portable monitor.

We have to note that although the SuperSlim has an OLED screen, the current models only have a 1080p resolution. In comparison, Apple’s smaller MacBook Air has a higher resolution 2560×1664 screen but lacks OLED.

Lastly, LG unveiled the SuperSlim at CES in January, alongside the rest of its Gram range. It included the company’s regular 14-, 15-, 16- and 17-inch options and the colorful, featherweight LG Gram Style laptops. Like the SuperSlim, they feature an OLED screen and start at 2.2 pounds.
