Microsoft has been testing a new feature on Windows 11 for a while. And with the new update, Microsoft is rolling the update out across 85 markets and in 39 different languages. Wondering what the new feature actually is? It’s Phone Link for iOS!
Once you have the update, you can connect your iPhone to your Windows 11 device. Afterward, all your calls, messages, and notifications will show up directly on your laptop or PC. This eventually means that you can finally use iMessage on a Windows machine!
Windows 11 and iPhone – Match Made in Heaven?
Although the feature is out of its testing phase, you may not see it in your Windows 11 device yet. That is because Microsoft is rolling it out in phases. So, at the moment, only a limited number of users will be able to see Phone Link for iOS in action. However, it will not take long for all users to get it.
For those that did get the new Windows 11 feature, you should see a new option when installing the Phone Link app. That is, the app will now let you connect your iPhone to your PC. Previously, the app only worked with Android devices. However, you do need to get your iPhone on iOS 14 or higher.

Nonetheless, Microsoft appears to be treading carefully with the update. It even admitted that the company purposely chose a “conservative approach” to rolling out the new Windows 11 feature. So, when will Phone Link for iOS be available for all users?
According to Microsoft, all Windows 11 users should see the feature by the middle of May. That means you will need to wait for three weeks in the worst-case scenario to get the update. And Microsoft promises that it will be worth the wait.
