WhatsApp Update for May: Finally, They Did the Right Thing

WhatsApp Polls

WhatsApp is getting new features almost every week and the instant messaging platform does not seem to be short of new features. Even though there are features coming in every week, the company still needs to go back to the drawing board. Whenever the company releases a new feature, it continues to work on it to perfect it. A good example of that feature is what we have just received.

Some few months back, WhatsApp released a new feature that allowed users run polls within the app. However, that feature had one big drawback. This drawback allowed one user to select multiple options which didn’t seem too good. WhatsApp did not provide any option to control how many times a person could vote as well. Finally, the company has fixed that issue with this new update.

WhatsApp Polls Has a New Feature WhatsApp Polls

WhatsApp has just submitted a new stable update for iOS devices on the App Store with build number 23.8.78. This new feature will allow users to limit the number of options a user can choose during polls. This will eliminate the struggles users go through in getting the exact number of votes.

On the App Store, WhatsApp listed a number of changelogs that shows all the features that are coming with this new update. It made mention of the ability to create your own sticker. A feature which is already in use. It also mentioned an already rolled out feature which is adding custom descriptions to forwarded media files.

With this new update, WhatsApp has added an extra setting to the “polls” feature. This new setting allows the user to disable the ability to select multiple answers in one poll. This is something that the company should have done at the very beginning of this feature. Nevertheless, it is finally here. When creating a poll, you can now be able to disable the users’ ability to select multiple answers.,

Availability of the New WhatsApp Polls Feature WhatsApp Polls

Currently, WhatsApp has released the stable version of this feature to users on the iOS platform. If you don’t have it yet together with other new features, it means you need to update your app. However, if your WhatsApp is up to date, you may have to wait a few more days to receive it. In order not to miss out on future features, it is advisable to perform regular updates on your WhatsApp. On Android devices, we are yet to get any information regarding this feature. Hopefully, Android devices will also receive it soon.
