It has been a long time since we started to see the OnePlus Nord 3 in the rumor mill. The phone was expected for the last year, but it didn’t come. Instead, OnePlus decided to launch another variant for the OnePlus Nord 2. This year, it seems that we’re about to finally see the OnePlus Nord 3 in all its glory. Although the phone has no official launch date, it keeps cycling through the rumor mill. Today, a significant leak of information about this highly anticipated mid-range phone has surfaced. A set of leaked photos show the phone, the retail box, some “Nord” cards, and the charger. It leaves nothing to the imagination, and I’m not talking about Carl Pei’s company.
OnePlus Nord 3 specifications
The rumors have been pointing to the Nord 3 as a rebranded Ace series smartphone. When OnePlus rebranded the OnePlus Ace 2 to OnePlus 11R, we scrapped this option. Then, the company unveiled a curious OnePlus Ace 2V that ditches the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 in favor of the Dimensity 9000 CPU. With the release of this phone in China, we’ve got our answer. Now, the new leak confirms the OnePlus Nord 3’s similarities with OnePlus Ace 2V. Obviously, we have all the “Nord” branding to make this device different and some of the specs are slightly different.

The alleged OnePlus Nord 3 was spotted alongside its retail box. The phone seems similar to the OnePlus Ace 2 in front and back. The black box has the OnePlus Nord 3 5G wording and brings blue cards with the “Nord” branding. It also seems to include a charging brick that according to the leaked specs will offer 80W fast charging.
The OnePlus Nord 3 is reportedly coming with a 50 MP camera instead of the 64 MP camera found in the Ace 2V. Other specs like the chipset with up to 16 GB of RAM, and 5000 mAh battery are similar. The phone will also sport a 6.74-inch OLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 2,772 x 1,240 pixels of resolution.
The picture also confirms the Alert Slider, which is returning to the Nord series and the IR sensor. The IR Blaster is a new thing among OnePlus devices and seems to aim at other brands like Redmi and POCO that offer this to its users. The OnePlus Nord 3 will certainly run OxygenOS 13 based on Android 13.
There is still no info regarding the launch date of the Nord 3. However, considering all those leaks, we expect the date to be revealed soon.
