More foldable phones are entering the market and popular leakster, @evleaks shared some official promo render videos of the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra foldable phone. The official promo videos show that this device is a flip phone.

Motorola Razr 40 Ultra

According to the tweet, the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is the name of the device on the global market. However, in the U.S. market, this device will be called Motorola Razr+. The phone’s outer screen is this time incredibly large, nearly taking up the entire folded back cover. Previous reports said that the phone would have three colours. From the renders, we can see that there will be red, grey and probably black colour options.  Also, it is also apparent from the image that this model’s display appears to go beyond the camera. This suggests that it is a small, particularly designed folding exterior screen created by Moto, and there is a piece on the side specifically for alerts.

Previous Motorola folding screen phones

Motorola has released two foldable phones in recent years, the Motorola Razr 2020 and the Motorola Razr 2022. The Razr 2022 has a 6.7-inch foldable display and a smaller Quick View screen. It uses a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, 8GB RAM, and 256GB storage. This device also has dual cameras with 50MP and 13MP sensors along with support for 8K video. To keep its lights on, there is a 3500 mAh battery with 30W TurboPower fast charging.

Reviews of these mobile phones praised the phone’s almost invisible fold, great camera, and useful software in Moto Gametime that make it a great foldable for gaming. However, some have expressed concerns over its long-term durability and high price tag.

Final Words

The design of the Razr has changed a lot in three years, but the foldable display is still the standout feature on the phone. The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra looks like an impressive device with a sleek design and improved features compared to its predecessor. However, we will have to wait until its release to see how it performs in terms of speed and storage capacity.
