Kiang will play the Vice President role in North America and handle the global launch of the upcoming Nothing phone. This big announcement is enough to believe that the phone is near its launch date.

Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Will Make Nothing Phone (2) See A Major Camera Boost
In a recent tweet, Carl Pei explained why he chose Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 for Nothing Phone (2). After all, we already have Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in current flagships. So, why opt for a last-gen SoC? Well, Pei starts off by stating that the SoC has been tested to perfection.

According to Carl Pei, it has seen continuous optimizations throughout its lifespan, making it more stable than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. In terms of the camera, the 8+ Gen 1 has an 18-bit image signal processor. That makes it capable of capturing over 4000 times more camera data than Nothing Phone (1).
