It has been a while since the launch of the OnePlus 11, based on the company’s typical release schedule, we’re not expecting a new model anytime soon. Of Course, surprises can happen, but that does not seem to be the case with the rumored OnePlus 12. Now, there is a new report coming from tipster Yogesh Brar. He indicates that the phone will be launched in China in December. That’s earlier than the OnePlus 11 release, but still a bit far from us. Despite this, the tipster still has some specs to share. Obviously, you should digest this with a pinch of salt.
OnePlus 12 Will Bring Some Upgrades on Cameras
As per the info from tipster Yogesh Brar, the new phone could be launched in China on December 2023. That is a little earlier than usual. To recall, the OnePlus 11 was launched in January and reached the global markets in February. Of Course, this is very speculative at this point, but if this turns out to be true, OnePlus may be aiming to be one of the first brands using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
The tipster shares a brief specs sheet of the new smartphones, and the more notable changes are in the camera department. Apparently, the specs come from an engineering sample of OnePlus’ next flagship. So this information is subject to change at this point.
As per the leak, the OnePlus 12 will introduce a new 64 MP periscope unit, one 50 MP main camera, and a 50 MP ultrawide shooter. With that setup, the device could bring neat upgrades in photography, especially when we look at the phone’s zooming capabilities. That should bring a significant upgrade over the telephoto sensor used by the OnePlus 11 and its predecessors. So the OnePlus 12 could be one of the most appealing OnePlus devices in terms of photography.
