Samsung has been known for releasing a Fan Edition (FE) version of its flagship phones, and the Galaxy S23 FE is no exception. While there are still very few reports about the phone, a recent Twitter post from @Tech_Reve reveals more about this device. The big one is that this device will use Samsung’s own Exynos 2200 chip. Also, there will not be a Snapdragon version. According to SamMyFans, Samsung chose the Exynos 2200 SoC to reduce costs and maintain profits.
In addition to the chip, @Tech_Reve also claims that this device will come with 6.4 Gbps LPDDR5 6/8 GB of RAM. To support the RAM, there will be a 128GB / 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. In the camera department, the source claims that this device will come with a 50MP 1.0um GN3 main camera. It will also use an 8MP 3x telephoto lens (1.0um Hi-347) and a 12MP ultra wide-angle (1.12um IMX258) camera.

Design
There have been no leaked renders of the Galaxy S23 FE yet. But the design of the Galaxy S23 gives us a good idea of what to expect. All three Galaxy S23 models have a similar design. They have the rear cameras stacked vertically down the left side of the phone. If Samsung follows its past pattern with FE models, then we have an idea of the design. We can expect the display size of the Galaxy S23 FE to be between the 6.1-inch standard model and the 6.6-inch Plus version.

Hardware
According to Twitter tipster Connor, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE could feature the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC. However, other sources suggest that the phone will be powered by the Exynos 2200 processor, which was used in Samsung’s S22 range in Europe. This chipset delivers flagship performance, but it is two years old by the time the phone is released. One of the S23 FE’s biggest upgrades could be a 50MP rear camera. The S20 FE and S21 FE used the same 12MP rear camera as the standard S20 and S21 models, and with Samsung upgrading the main camera to a 50-megapixel sensor on the (non-Ultra) Galaxy S22 and S23, it is only natural that the S23 FE gets the same upgrade. The Galaxy S23 FE will have the same 4,500 mAh battery as its predecessors, likely with 25W fast charging. This means more battery than the S23 regular.
Price and Release Date
According to SisaJournal, the Galaxy S23 FE price is expected to be around 20-to-30% cheaper than the basic $799. The Galaxy S23 FE is expected to launch in Q4 2023, meaning anytime between October and December. While there are still many unknowns about the Galaxy S23 FE, it is shaping up to be a promising phone with some significant upgrades from its predecessors.
