In a surprising turn of events, Activision Blizzard and KFC have joined forces to offer a special promo for the release of Diablo 4. Although this was just a rumor in the past few months, now, we learn that players can acquire unique in-game cosmetics by buying specific sandwiches from KFC’s official website. The promo is already underway, with codes for the items becoming available in players’ KFC accounts starting on May 30. These codes can then be linked to their Battle.net accounts to unlock the cosmetics once Diablo 4 is officially out. Neither Blizzard nor KFC have made any public statements regarding this offer. But it appears to be ongoing at many KFC locations in the US.
The news drove the attention of Wowhead, a well-known gaming news outlet, who discovered that there are a total of five aesthetic versions for different weapons, each related to one of Diablo 4’s five character classes. As the KFC website shows, the most basic menu item costs around $5, letting players buy all five cosmetics for around $25. We should note that regional prices may vary. Those players who want to get their hands on the full set should find it attractive.
