ChatGPT App for iOS Gets Major Update with Siri Integration and Full-Screen Support

ChatGPT app

ChatGPT the record-breaking chatbot that revamped the web (perhaps the world) made its way to iPhones last month through an official app. Thanks to the app, iOS users can easily access the AI-powered chatbot and get answers to their inquiries in a few seconds. It has been available for just a few weeks but already is a phenomenon in the App Store. Today, the developers are making it more interesting on iOS. OpenAI is improving the integration with iOS offering support for Siri and Shortcuts. In addition to that, the update also improves the app on iPads.

ChatGPT App for iOS brings deeper integration with Siri, Proper iPad support, and more

The Shortcuts allows you to create a custom ChatGPT prompt in Shortcuts and save it. You can link it with other apps to execute a specific action. For example, you can save the answer to the prompt in Notes or send it directly via a messaging app. Thanks to deeper integration with Siri, you can also use the assistant to do it. The ChatGPT app now also offers support for the drag-and-drop feature between different Apple devices. You can simply drag and drop the response from ChatGPT to other apps.

Talking about the improvements for iPad, ChatGPT now delivers a full-fledged full-screen experience. Previously, the app was made with the iPhone screen into consideration. Now, those who wish to use the app on the iPad will find the best experience with the screen on its real stage. It’s strange that it was not optimized before, after all, the app makes a lot of sense on the large screen of the iPad.

OpenAI keeps its push on Apple products

The update affirms OpenAI’s commitment to Apple’s platforms. The app reached iOS devices in the US in mid-May. It will reach 11 more countries pretty soon. We are yet to see if this update will address some of the issues that have been reported a few days ago. According to reports from India, some users are experiencing overheating issues and sudden battery drain after installing the app. Let’s wait to confirm if these bugs have been addressed with this update.

The update should reach your iOS or iPadOS device automatically via the App Store updates. If not, make sure to head to the App Store to install the latest version. You can also use the link to experiment with the app on your device if you didn’t yet. Unfortunately, Android users will still have to wait for the app’s launch on the platform.
