The world didn’t get a Samsung Galaxy S22 FE, but Samsung is keen to bring back this lineup with the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE. Since the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, no other device in this lineup got the same appeal, but that could change soon with their next phone. Without a Samsung Galaxy S22 FE, the lineup had enough time to rest. The S23 FE could serve as an intermediary option now that several months have passed since the S23 series launch. According to leaks, Samsung is moving fast to bring this device and now one of its components has been certified.
Samsung Galaxy S23 FE battery spotted
The latest proof of the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE launch comes from a battery certification listing from Safety Korea. The battery in the listing sports the EB-BS711ABY model number which matches the SM-S711 identifier. To those unaware, the Samsung Galaxy S23 was spotted before with this same model number. The battery cell is manufactured by Amperex but its actual capacity had not been disclosed. If we go to the rumored specifications, the phone will have a 4,500 mAh battery with 25W fast charging.
Gizchina News of the week
According to the rumored specs sheet, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE will come with the Samsung Exynos 2200 SoC. It will sell in variants with 6 GB/ 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB / 256 GB of Internal Storage. It is expected to come with a 50 MP main camera. The rumors also say that the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE will launch before the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5. These two foldable smartphones are already confirmed to launch in the last week of July. If this is indeed the case, we expect to hear more about the phone in the next coming days.
One of the main differences between the Galaxy S23 FE and the previous FE models is the exclusive Exynos 2200 variants. The S21 FE was available in Exynos or Snapdragon flavors depending on the region. However, the S23 FE will be available globally with the Exynos 2200.
