After many rumors and leaks, Samsung is finally getting ready to unveil its Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5. The next round of foldable phones will be revealed in Seoul in the last week of July. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 appeared in official renders confirming its design ahead of the unveiling. It’s the first time we see an image that seems to be part of the phone’s marketing campaign. This one seems to have slipped out of Samsung’s marketing pockets and comes as a courtesy of MySmartPrice.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 – Finally an improved hinge
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 tagline reads “Unfold your world”, and it’s a bit cheese if you recall Samsung’s older campaigns. Anyway, this does not matter much now that we all know what a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold is about. So far, most of us are looking to see if the rumors about a “new improved hinge” will mean an impressive upgrade to the annoying crease we had in the past Galaxy Z Fold releases. Thankfully, the leaked image gives us a good glimpse of the gapless hinge. We probably have a minimal crease, but one that is a real improvement over the past phones. Apart from this most interesting change, the Galaxy Z Fold5 seems to be very similar to its predecessor.
Gizchina News of the week
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 brings a triple-camera setup. Instead of the new raindrop design of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, the camera rings are fitted inside of an oval island, just like the Galaxy Z FFold5. The phone has the speakers in the same place as its predecessor, as well as the power and volume buttons. The Galaxy S Pen is also present in the render, but there is no slot for the stylus in the phone.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy makes it the most powerful of 2023 foldables
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy, which means it has a slight performance advantage over general Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phones. It is worth noting that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 will be one of the few “true 2023 foldable flagship phones”. So far, the Vivo X Fold2 is the only foldable device with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The new phones will also bring One UI 5.1.1 with specific improvements.
The Z Fold5 will launch on July 26 along with the Galaxy Z Flip5. This one will bear the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy. Moreover, it is touted to include some neat upgrades like a larger outer display. Besides the new foldable, Samsung will also present the new Galaxy Tab S9 series and the Galaxy Watch6 series.
This is a huge leak for Samsung’s next foldable phone. It comes a full month ahead of its release. We are curious to see if more leaks will pop out in the coming days.
