Lovers of Action cameras, rejoice! The Camera-centric company Insta360 announced today the Insta360 GO 3. It’s the latest addition to the Ultra-Portable GO Action camera series. The video recording is made on 1080p, 1,440p, and 2.7K resolutions. In all three resolution modes, the camera supports 24, 25, and 30 FPS, while 1080p and 1440p resolutions can achieve 50 FPS.

When it comes to video recording modes, the Insta360 GO 3 offers three options: Pre-Recording, Loop Recording, and Time Capture. The Timed Capture mode allows the user to schedule the GO 3 to power on and start recording at a specific time. Hence, you can put it to record the sunrise timelapse and create nice footage when you’re still sleeping.
There is also a FreeFrame mode that lets you modify the aspect ratio of your footage after shooting. It allows you to record one video for uploading as an Instagram Reel in a 9:16 aspect ratio or a YouTube video in a 16:9 aspect ratio. The camera also supports slow-motion recording with 1080p resolution at 120 Frames-Per-Second.

The Action Pod is IPX4 rated and has a 1,270 mAh battery that draws power through a USB Type-C port and charges up to 100% in just 65 minutes. The GO 3, on the other hand, comes with an IPX8 rating.
