OnePlus Nord CE 3

OnePlus is gearing up to introduce the OnePlus Nord 3, and while this device gets most of the spotlight, there is also a OnePlus Nord CE 3 on the radar. The new smartphones will launch on July 5 in India, and OnePlus is finally giving us more details. Today, the company confirmed the chipset that will be inside the OnePlus Nord CE 3.

OnePlus Nord CE 3 will be quite powerful with the Snapdragon 782G

OnePlus has just confirmed the presence of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G powering the handset. To those unaware, this chipset is a replacement for the popular Snapdragon 778G+. If you’re wondering how it does compare to its predecessor, it offers a modest CPU and GPU performance boost over the Snapdragon 778G+. In any case, that “boost” should be significant enough to make the OnePlus Nord CE 3 a good device in the affordable range.

Qualcomm did not give a name to the GPU in this new processor, and that seems to be a trend for newer processor (The Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 and 6 Gen 2 also have a “Qualcomm Adreno” GPU). The Adreno 642L inside the Snapdragon 778G+ was capable of running demanding games and offered a decent experience.
