Nothing is preparing to take its next bold step in the smartphone market. The company will introduce the Nothing Phone (2) with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, being the company’s first full-fledged flagship. Nothing already confirmed the launch of its next phone for July 11. We still have two weeks ahead of the launch event, but India’s Flipkart seems to be ready to start the pre-order period for the upcoming smartphones.
Nothing Phone (2) can be reserved on Flipkart
Flipkart calls these “pre-orders” but this is mostly a “pre-booking” system for the upcoming smartphone. In other words, the Indian e-commerce platform is allowing users to reserve their phones. You pay INR 2,000 ($24) (which is fully refundable if you give up later), to “secure the order”. Then you return to the website from July 11 at 9 PM local time to July 20 at 11:59 PM local time to choose your variant and pay the remaining balance and claim exclusive pre-order prizes. We assume Flipkart expects a huge demand for the phone, so this “pre-booking” system makes sense. Obviously, this is a partnership between Nothing and the platform.
As “pre-order” gifts, the company is offering a bunch. You can get the Nothing Ear (Stick) TWS earbuds for INR 4,250 ($51) (down from the normal price of INR 8,499), a Nothing Phone (2) case for INR 499 ($6) (Down from INR 1,299 ($15,83) ), a Phone (2) screen protector for INR 399 ($4,86) (down from INR 999 ($12), or a Nothing (Power) 45W adapter for INR 1,499 ($18,27) (Down from INR 2,499 ($30)). You can claim as many of these as you wish.

Details you need to know
Neither Nothing nor Flipkart has stipulated a specific amount of units available for pre-booking. Hence, we conclude there is no max quota on how many users will be able to pre-order the device. Obviously, this pre-booking is exclusive to India. We will be following Nothing to see if it will start accepting pre-orders in other countries or regions.
The date of the first open sale will start on July 21, when the pre-order period ends. The exact price of the Nothing Phone (2) has not yet been revealed. As we’re about to enter July, we expect Nothing to intensify its teaser campaign with more details about the handset. Apart from the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, the Phone will bring a new transparent USB Type-C cable, will have a Transparent Design, and will bring back the Glyph LEDs. The Nothing Phone (2) will also debut Nothing OS 2.0 which is promising to be the company’s biggest software update ever. We expect more details to appear in the next weeks.
