The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE launch is drawing near and will mark the comeback of Samsung’s “Fan Edition” Smartphones. The lineup surfaced in October 2020 with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. The device was a big hit, but its sequels did not repeat the same level of success. Last year, Samsung put the lineup on hiatus and did not launch a Galaxy S22 FE. Now, the lineup is set to return with the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE. As we await an official launch date, the device continues to make appearances in certifications. It got the 3C certification approval which revealed its charging speed.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE 5Gappeared on the 3C certification with model number SM-S7110. The listing confirms a detail that may not be a huge surprise if you’re a Samsung follower. Once again, the company will stick with 25W fast charging for one of its flagships.
Gizchina News of the week
Samsung Galaxy S23 FE 5G specifications
Samsung is still very conservative when it comes to bringing fast charging to its smartphones. While other Android OEMs are exploring unseen territories with 120W, 165W, and even 240W charging, Samsung keeps up with 25W and 45W on its flagships. The highest charging rate can be only found in the most advanced flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. Since the Galaxy S23 FE will be a “basic” flagship, it will get standard 25W charging. The 3C certification also confirms that the simple 25W adapter won’t be included with the phone. So you will have to buy one separately. Worth noting that this strategy could be different for other regions.
As far as the specifications go, the handset is tipped to flaunt a 6.4-inch display. The device will bring an AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it is set to come with either the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 or the Exynos 2200 SoC depending on the region. It will come with up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of Internal Storage. The S23 FE will feature a triple-camera setup with LED flash. The main camera is a 50 MP shooter, while the other sensors remain unknown. We expect the secondary shooter to be an ultrawide snapper. The phone will also feature OIS like the other S23 series phones.
According to SafetyKorea, the phone will bring a 4,500 mAh battery, which should take around one hour to charge with this 25W rate. The launch date of the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE has not been revealed by Samsung. It is expected for the third quarter of 2023.
