Samsung held an Unpacked event in South Korea today, releasing a variety of devices such as new folding-screen phones, tablets and smartwatches. The company revealed that it will launch more new products before the end of this year. One of the new products is the Galaxy S23 FE phone, which is a special edition phone launched by Samsung for the fan base. Samsung has now revealed that the new phone may be released soon.
According to Android Authority, when asked about “there is an FE size gap between the Galaxy A54 5G and the Galaxy S23,” Justin Hume, vice president of Samsung South Africa’s mobile division, said, “We are about to release a new product.” He did not mention the specific name of the phone. However, Sammobile’s sources had earlier confirmed that the next FE phone will be called the Galaxy S23 FE.

Samsung Galaxy S23 FE specs
The design and specs of the Galaxy S23 FE are also no secret. A recent render of the device spotted on IT Home reveals that the device looks similar to the Galaxy S23 and S23+. In fact, the report claims that it may also share some specs with them. According to the benchmark list for this device, it will use last year’s Exynos 2200 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
Recall that the Galaxy S22 series uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chips in almost all markets. However, the Galaxy S23 FE is likely to only use Qualcomm chips in the US and China markets. Other markets will use Exynos 2200 chips. In addition to the Galaxy S23 FE, Samsung also confirmed that it is developing two FE version tablets. These tabs will be in the Galaxy Tab S9 series. However, the company did not state when these tablets will be officially released.
