It has been a while since the last time we saw a proper flagship from Realme. Last year, the company presented the Realme GT2 Pro and the Master Explorer Edition. This year, we had a Realme GT3 but it was a rebadged Realme GT Neo5. Since the launch of the Realme GT3 at the MWC we have been wondering when Realme will unleash the Pro. Well, it seems that the brand will skip a Pro and will launch its next flagship in the form of a Realme GT5. The moniker has been confirmed at Realme’s booth at China Joy 2023. There are multiple posters featuring the Realme GT5 logo, even though there is still no Realme GT5.
Realme GT5 – Realme’s next step on the flagship market
Realme made its name in recent years as the fastest-growing smartphone brand. However, after gaining huge popularity with mid-range phones, the brand decided to invest more in flagship devices.
As previously said, Realme traditionally focuses on mid-range and affordable smartphones. However, in 2020, the company presented its Realme GT series. With these smartphones, we saw the company’s refreshed effort on the flagship segment. However, instead of focusing on the premium segment, devices under the GT series are more oriented to the “entry flagship” category, or if you prefer the “flagship-killer” category. After the Realme GT3, it seems that Realme is ready to move forward with its flagship lineup, and the Realme GT5 will mark the brand’s next step into the world of flagship killers.

Apparently, Realme wants to slowly build anticipation for its next flagship. Besides the name’s confirmation and the marketing for the phone, the brand also confirmed it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It is worth noting that two Realme smartphones have been certified by TENAA with RMX3820 and RMX3823 model numbers. These devices are believed to come as Realme GT Neo 6 and Realme GT Neo 6 Pro. TENAA suggests these phones are basically the same with the main difference being the charging speed and the battery capacity. You may be wondering, what these devices have in common with the Realme GT5. The trustworthy tipster OnLeaks states that the smartphone is a rebadged Realme GT Neo 6. What remains to be seen is whether there is a Realme GT 5 Pro in the pipeline for the Realme GT Neo 6 Pro.
The Realme GT Neo5 launched in early February, while the Realme GT3 made its debut at the MWC 2023. Considering the teasers and the listing on TENAA, we can expect the Realme GT5 to make its debut pretty soon.
