In Q2 2023, Huawei, Apple, and Realme were the only smartphone companies that achieved year-over-year (YoY) sales growth among all the competitors. On the other hand, Xiaomi, Honor, Oppo, and Vivo faced a significant decline in their sales during the same period. In Q2 2023, Vivo secured the top position in the smartphone market with a 17.7% market share. This achievement was driven by the successful sales of their Y35 series, Y8 series, and S17 series smartphones.

OPPO (including OnePlus) and Apple were tied in the second position, with each company capturing a 17.2% market share during the same quarter. This shows a highly competitive market with these two companies holding a similar share of the smartphone market.

However, the 618-e-commerce festival in June provided a boost. This helped to mitigate the overall decline in smartphone sales for the quarter.
