The recently unveiled Redmi K60 Ultra has been picking up a lot of attention. As I’ve previously covered, it’s basically this year’s best affordable flagship phone. And considering how good the device’s value proposition is, many are looking forward to getting the device.
Well, if you’re one of them, there’s a piece of good news for you. Xiaomi is ready to deliver class-leading support for the Redmi K60 Ultra. Specifically, you’ll get prolonged software support, extended over-the-air security patches, and one of the very first ones to experience the brand-new MIUI 15 update.
Xiaomi Matches Samsung Phone’s Support with the Redmi K60 Ultra
So, Xiaomi is basically promising at least four major Android version upgrades and five years of security patches. Seeing this level of dedication from Xiaomi is truly a great thing. As a matter of fact, the planned support for the device matches the support of Samsung for its current Galaxy devices.

And it goes without saying that this extensive support promise from Xiaomi will make the Redmi K60 Ultra a safer choice for those who want to upgrade their phone. On that note, the phone is about to make its debut on the global market. Xiaomi will rebrand it as the Redmi 13T Pro and roll it out to multiple regions.
Even though the phone will have a different name in the international markets, it’ll be the same device as the Redmi K60 Ultra. That means you’ll get the same 6.67-inch AMOLED screen, Dimensity 9200+ SoC, and 5000mAH battery with 120W fast charging.
Of course, there’ll be slight variations in the pricing. For those unaware, the K60 Ultra debuted in China with a starting price of RMB 2599. That converts to around $358 US. However, I don’t expect to see Xiaomi pricing it higher than $500 US for the global markets. We will update you when Xiaomi gives an official announcement regarding this.
