iQOO is gearing up to make its next move in the smartphone segment. The hardware-focused smartphone brand was expected to launch its new iQOO Z8 only in September. However, it now has announced the device’s launch date for the last day of August. The phone will arrive on August 31. Besides the launch date confirmation, the brand also confirmed some of the phone’s specifications an design details. Without further ado, let’s see what the iQOO Z8 has in tow.
iQOO Z8 Launch, Design, and Specs Detailed
iQOO confirmed the iQOO Z8 with the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC. That’s a powerful 5nm chipset with 1 x ARM Cortex-A78 core at 3.1 GHz, 3 x ARM Cortex-A78 cores at 3.0 GHz, and 4 x ARM Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0 GHz. The phone will be paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of Internal Storage. More variants are likely coming at the phone’s launch.

In addition to the core hardware, iQOO also confirmed the iQOO Z8’s design and color options. The handset will sport a dual camera setup on the rear with two big circles inside of a huge rectangular Black square. The primary camera with come with Optical Image Stabilization. The teaser images reveal Blue and White color options. The camera setup is believed to bring a 64 MP shooter with a 2 MP macro snapper. The second camera is rather decorative, but it’s great to see that the primary shooter will have OIS for smooth video recording.
As for the remaining details, the iQOO Z8 will support 120W Fast-charging, 3.5mm headphone jack, and an IR Blaster. The phone will also feature side-mounted fingerprint for biometric authentication. Other details for the smartphone are yet to be revealed by iQOO.
iQOO Z8x coming at the same date
As mentioned above, the iQOO Z8 will launch on August 31 in China at 7 PM local time. There is still no timeframe for the global release, but it should happen in the coming months. It is worth noting that there is also an iQOO Z8x coming at the same event. However, iQOO keeps a silent profile for this latter device.
