The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has appeared on Geekbench, running on a nubia phone with Android 14. It boasts 12 GB of RAM and goes by the model number NX769J. This particular unit could be a prototype for the rumored Red Magic 9.

The Geekbench listing reveals that the SD 8 Gen 3 achieved a single-core score of 1596. And a multi-core score of 5977. These scores are lower than the previous leaks. Which claimed that the alleged Galaxy S24+ achieved 2233 single-core points and 6661 multi-core points.

According to Digital Chat station, the scores obtained in the listing are preliminary and may vary in the final version. The listing also indicates that the SD 8 Gen 3 features 2 cores clocked at 2.27 GHz and 5 cores clocked at 2.96 GHz. In addition to 1 core clocked at 3.19 GHz.

Compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (SM8650) SoC is rumored to adopt a new “1+5+2” architecture instead of the previous “1+2+2+3” setup. This new architecture will include a more powerful performance core. With a higher frequency and will be using the TSMC N4P process.

The chip is expected to consist of 1 Cortex-X4 prime core, 5 A720 performance cores, and 2 A520 power efficiency cores, along with an Adreno 750 GPU. The Adreno 750 GPU is anticipated to deliver significant performance improvements compared to its predecessor, the Adreno 740, and will feature a 10MB L3 cache.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will launch at the sixth annual Snapdragon Tech Summit. Taking place from October 24th to 26th, which is one month earlier than the usual schedule.

Rumors suggest that the Xiaomi 14 series will be the first device to use the SD 8 Gen 3 SoC when they launch in November. Additionally, the vivo X100 series, iQOO 12 series, Redmi K70 Pro, OnePlus 12, Red Magic 9 series, and more device will adopt this chip.
