Samsung Galaxy Devices Set to Receive Android 14 (One UI 6) Update: Check if Your Model is Included

At the beginning of this year, Google began the development of the Android 14 operating system. They plan to release the final version and the basic AOSP version in August 2023. Samsung also started testing a new version of its software called One UI 6, which is based on Android 14. They’re trying it out on their Galaxy S23 phones. This testing started a short while ago.

Many Samsung devices can get the upgrade to One UI 6, which is based on Android 14. Looking at how Samsung has released updates in previous years, it’s clear which Galaxy phones will likely be the first to get the One UI 6 update this year.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series will be the first to get the new One UI 6 update. This will happen right after the official reveal at SDC 2023, which is expected to be in October. However, before the update is fully released, the S23 series and some other models will be invited to try out a beta version of the software to test it.

Samsung One UI 6: What’s Next after the first list? Samsung One UI 6

In the list we talked about earlier, there’s a focus on high-end devices. Why? The South Korea tech company will start by giving the Android 14 update to their newest and most advanced flagship devices. After that, they will provide the update to older flagship models and then to mid-range ones. They’re not leaving out budget models either – some of them will also get the new updates.

Congratulations if you have a Galaxy S or Galaxy Z series smartphone that can get the One UI 6.0 software. If Samsung sticks to a similar schedule as last year, you’ll be able to install the new operating system starting from August 2023. As we have already mentioned, these are just the first Samsung Galaxy devices to first receive the update. All other eligible models will flow as planned. You can find a list of all the devices that are eligible for One UI 6.0 here.
