If you can recall, Carl Pei, the CEO of Nothing, officially introduced a sub-brand back in August. It goes by the name of CMF by Nothing. As I’ve reported, this sub-brand will focus on offering affordable devices with timeless designs. Also, a previous report has hinted that the brand was working on a smartwatch and earbuds.
Now, Nothing Vice President and General Manager of India, Manu Sharma, has just disclosed the brand’s launch date. According to his latest announcement, CMF by Nothing will officially enter the market on September 26.
What to Expect From CMF by Nothing On September 26
As mentioned earlier, a previous report from August suggested that CMF by Nothing was working on a pair of earbuds and a smartwatch. But a report afterward hinted that the sub-brand is also working on a charger. Because these reports were based on Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) registration, it’s safe to assume that we will see the trio launch on September 26.
Gizchina News of the week
While Manu Sharma didn’t tease any of these CMF by Nothing devices, the tagline is well visible on his post. It’s “Wonderful by design.” This confirms that the devices won’t just be affordable but will also feature eye-catching outlooks. And if you know Nothing, design plays an integral role in its products. Take the Nothing Phone (2) and Nothing Ear (2), for example.
What remains to be seen is whether the September 26 launch is just for the Indian market. After all, we’ve only seen the accessories getting registered in the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) so far. But as Nothing already operates at a global scale, the CMF by Nothing products should make its way to other markets. Still, everything will be clear on September 26, and hopefully, we will be able to know more about the brand and its distribution plans.
