The much-awaited Redmi Note 13 series has finally landed. At the official event, which took place just a few hours ago, Xiaomi showcased all three devices of the lineup. Now, while all three models come with great specs, most of the attention is on the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus.
It’s the highest-end model of the series and comes with flagship-grade specs. To be exact, it has an upper mid-range SoC, a superior display, a high-end Samsung camera sensor, robust build quality, and, most importantly, a reliable and fast-charging battery. All of this makes the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus a decent purchase as a mid-range device.
Main Highlights of the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus
There are a lot of things that Xiaomi did right about the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus. But among all, these are the main highlights:
Display
On the front, the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus features a class-leading display. The panel features a 1.5K resolution, which means it can deliver crisp and well-detailed images. What’s more important is that the panel features high-gloss eye-protection technology. Thanks to this, prolonged viewing will not put much strain on your eyes.
Specifically, the Note 13 Pro Plus comes with the brand-new Huaxing C7 panel. The specialty of this panel is that it offers high brightness without consuming too much power. To be exact, the peak brightness of the display is at 1800 nits. That means you can easily view everything on the screen even when you’re outdoors.
Additionally, the display of the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ sports TÜV Rheinland certification, which will further enhance the viewing experience in different conditions. There’s 1920Hz PWN dimming too.
Other highlights of the screen include a 2.27 mm thin bezel and a relatively flat design on the front. These two will make it much easier to get an immersive viewing experience on the device.
Enhanced Build Quality of the Note 13 Pro+
Even though the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is a mid-range device, its build quality is nothing but premium. To start with, the phone comes with an IP68 rating, which ensures higher levels of resistance to dust and water. Xiaomi confirmed that the device has 19 sets of key structural waterproof parts.
Moreover, the frame and the build of the phone are ready to handle all the daily abuse. Xiaomi has made the device go through 56 different flagship durability tests, and the phone passed all of them with flying colors. The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ has also passed four severe scenarios and 10-mark air tightness tests.
Flagship-grade Camera Performance
Besides a great display and superior build, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ features the HP3 sensor from Samsung. It’s the primary camera on the back of the device. This 200MP sensor is capable of taking stunning images even in not-so-ideal conditions.
The large aperture of the sensor makes it capable of taking in more light, which should result in better night-mode images. Also, the HP3 sensor of the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ has OIS. Thanks to that, you can take extremely stable shots and videos without putting that much effort into it.
Besides that, the phone has an 8MP Ultra wide-angle sensor and a 2MP macro camera on the back. Xiaomi has also integrated smart picture processing technologies to further refine the images taken with the cameras.
SoC, RAM, and Storage
Under the hood, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ features a Dimensity 7200 Ultra SoC. It’s an upper mid-range chipset from MediaTek, which can offer flagship-level performance. If you’re looking for specific, MediaTek utilized the flagship 4nm process for the Dimensity 7200 Ultra. And as you know, the 4nm process is known for delivering efficient and fast chipsets.
In the AnTuTu benchmark, the chipset got a score of 803,381. This score translates to superior real-world performance and smooth task handling. Also, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ utilizes a 4000 mm square thermal system. With superior VC heat dissipation area, this cooling system lowers the chances of the phone overheating during extreme loads.
For a mid-range device, the Note 13 Pro+ features flagship-grade memory configuration. One of the variants comes with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. What’s more important is that the device packs LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. Both are industry-leading standards, which should enhance the performance of the devices.
Reliable Battery Performance of the Redmi Note 13 Pro+
The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ comes with a large 5000mAh battery. Xiaomi says that the battery can offer up to 1.28 days of runtime with a full charge. And with 120W fast charging support, you don’t even need to stress too much when the battery is at 0%.
