What does this mean for you?
If you own one of the devices listed above, you will still receive software updates that include security patches and bug fixes. However, you will no longer receive new features in MIUI beta updates.
If you are eager to try out the latest MIUI features, you can consider enrolling your device in the Mi Pilot program. The Mi Pilot program allows users to test out new MIUI features before they are available to the public. However, it is important to note that Mi Pilot builds may be buggy and unstable.
If you are not comfortable with buggy software, it is best to stick with the stable version of MIUI.
If you happen to own one of the affected Xiaomi smartphones, there’s no need to panic. You will continue to receive essential updates and support, and for some models, exciting new features will be on the horizon as they transition to the Android 14 platform. Xiaomi remains steadfast in its commitment to providing a top-notch software experience for its users, and these changes are designed to facilitate that commitment in the long run.
