It seems that Samsung is ready to launch the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE in India. To recall, last week, Amazon.in set up a promo page for the smartphone in its handset, teasing a launch for October. Now, Samsung’s Indian arm has officially revealed the launch of the Galaxy S23 FE. The new handset will be launch next week – on October 4.(Via).
Samsung Galaxy S23 FE comes alongside a new range of FE products
Samsung also posted an image on X for a new Samsung Galaxy Tab, presumably the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE. We expect a full lineup as Amazon also posted teasers for the upcoming Galaxy Buds FE. With all this evidence, Samsung is likely to launch a full Samsung Galaxy FE lineup next week. For those who don’t know, the lineup started in 2020 with the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, which proved to be a huge success. The smartphone was basically an affordable entry into the flagship lineup, combining interesting flagship specs with an attractive price.
Coming back to the smartphone, Samsung posted a teaser on X that includes three cameras with the text “The New Epic” and “Launching on October 4”. Samsung did not mention the name of the smartphone in the post, but we do know that this particular teaser refers to the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE.
Gizchina News of the week
The Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE will come with a 6.4-inch 120 Hz Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED screen with 6 GB / 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB/256 GB of internal storage. The phone draws its power from a huge 4,500 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. Samsung will sell it in two configurations – one with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, and another with the Exynos 2200 SoC.
The Galaxy S23 FE will also pack a 10 MP selfie shooter, and a triple camera array with 50 MP OIS camera, 12 MP telephoto, and 8 MP ultra-wide units. The device will be sold in four color options and will run Android 13-based One UI 5.1.1.
The bottom line
With the launch of the new smartphone, Indian consumers will have a good option to enter Samsung’s portfolio of flagship devices. The device is below the current Samsung Galaxy S23 series, which has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. However, with the attractive price, long-term support and other interesting specifications, it could find its audience in the crowded market.
