With the launch of the Honor Magic V2, Honor has made quite a name for itself in the foldable smartphone market. Not only did the V2 come with a lightweight design, but it features an ultra-thin body too. These two factors made the foldable phone stand a lot out from the competition. Well, with the Honor Magic Vs2, the Chinese brand is preparing to take things up a notch.
Honor has just confirmed that the Magic Vs2 will be “even thinner and lighter” foldable than the Magic V2. And the great part is that you don’t need to wait long to see the device in all its glory. The foldable smartphone is dropping on October 12, which is basically 3 days away.
What to Expect from the Honor Magic Vs2
The Honor Magic Vs2 will be a mild update over the predecessor, the Magic Vs. A recent benchmark at Geekbench revealed that the device will feature a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, which is a last-gen flagship processor. The benchmark also includes the RAM information, which is at 16GB.

On the rear, the Magic Vs2 will come with a 50MP primary camera, but the two secondary cameras’ details are not yet confirmed. However, it’s worth noting that the Magic Vs featured a 50MP ultra-wide sensor and an 8MP telephoto shooter. But it’s confirmed that the rear will feature three cameras, which you can see from the official poster attached below.
Nonetheless, as mentioned earlier, the main selling point of the Honor Magic Vs2 is its thinner and lighter body. The predecessor came with a 6.1 mm profile in the unfolded stage, which made it the thinnest foldable of that time. And if you’re wondering, the Magic V2 has a 4.7 mm profile in the unfolded state. So, it would be interesting to see how much “thinner and lighter” the phone actually is.
