Vivo might be busy with the flagship segment and the upcoming flagships under its Vivo X100 series, but this won’t stop the brand from filling the mid-range market with new contenders. Today, Vivo introduces the anticipated Vivo Y200. It’s a decent low-end smartphone that will bring some heat to this competitive segment. Through this article, we will talk about the phone’s main features, specs, and pricing.
Introducing the Vivo Y200
The Vivo Y200 has officially launched in India and is a direct successor for the Vivo Y100 which arrived back in February. It’s a decent upgrade over its predecessor featuring a gorgeous 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The display is 16.94 cm tall and has a centered punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. Interestingly, this phone has an in-display fingerprint scanner. This is a rarity among mid-range devices.

The front-facing camera is a 16 MP shooter which should be enough for good selfies and video calls. At the back, you’ll find a rectangular camera cutout housing two camera holes. The main camera is a 64 MP snapper with OIS, and it is coupled by a 2 MP depth sensor.
The Vivo Y200 also boasts the Smart Aura Light which features 38-level color temperature adjustment based on your ambient lighting.
Powering the phone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset. This is a decent octa-core chipset with max clock speed of 2.0 GHz and Adreno GPU. With this processor users can enjoy social media and play casual games without issues. Some heavy games may also work with moderate graphic settings. The phone is paired with 8 GB of RAM and sells in options with 128 GB or 256 GB of Storage.
The Vivo Y200 draws its powers from a 4,800 mAh battery with 44W fast-charging speed. The software side is covered with the Funtouch 13 skin based on Android 13, but the device is also eligible for the upcoming Android 14 update.
Pricing and Availability
Currently, the Vivo Y200 is available in India in the Desert Gold and Jungle Green Colors. The device sells at INR 21,999 ($264) in its 8GB/128GB trim while the 8GB/256GB option costs INR 23,999 ($289). The phone is on open sale from the official vivo online show as well as from Amazon India.
