OnePlus confirmed that the display of the OnePlus 12 will be a BOE X1 display. It sports a 2K resolution, which should offer crisp and well-detailed visuals. More importantly, it’s the first-ever Chinese 2K display that received a Display Mate A+ rating. With this, BOE broke 18 world records.
Gizchina News of the week
Previously, OnePlus announced that it would be introducing the world’s brightest screen, featuring over 3000 NITS of brightness. The 2K display of the OnePlus 12 is likely what the brand was talking about. This high brightness rating means that you can easily view the images and texts on the screen even in the most challenging lighting conditions.
Besides, the screen of the OnePlus 12 will offer better eye protection and boast an extended screen life. The screen of the OnePlus ACE 3, on the other hand, features a 1.5K resolution. OnePlus didn’t give much detail regarding this display, but it could be a slightly tuned-down version of BOE X1.
That said, as the official images showcased, both the OnePlus 12 and Ace 3 will feature a punch-hole design and have curved edges. And like previous Ace models, the display of the Ace 3 could make its way to the other upcoming devices of the lineup. That includes the OnePlus Ace 3V and Ace 3 Pro. We will keep you posted when OnePlus shares more information.
