Now, Xiaomi is showcasing the camera capabilities of the Xiaomi 14 devices. The brand has confirmed that they will boast the Leica VARIO-SUMMILUX camera lens. It is a step up from the Leica VARIO-SUMMICRON found in the Xiaomi 13 series.

So, ASPH means that the Xiaomi 14 will come with an aspherical lens. This will make the camera setup capable of capturing photos and videos from a wide aperture ranging from f/1.6 to f/2.2. This aperture range will come into play in distances from 14 mm to 75 mm. And the devices will deliver Leica DLSR-level quality.

For those wondering, it is one of the premium Summilux lenses from Leica. And the Xiaomi 14 series will be the first flagship lineup to feature this setup from Leica. In general, you only see such camera configurations on DLSR cameras. Their pricing is usually above the USD$2000 range.
