Honor has rolled out a brand-new smartphone today. Named the Honor X50i+, the device is a better version of the Honor X50 that launched in July of this year. Among the improvements, the new smartphone has a better screen, a more capable SoC, and a better camera setup.
The new Honor X50i+ is currently available in China in two different configurations. It features a base price of CNY1599, which is around US$219. The better-configured version has a price tag of CNY1799, around US$247.
Key Features of Honor X50i+
On the front, the Honor X50i+ comes with an AMOLED screen featuring an FHD+ resolution. It’s a step up from the LCD screen that the X50 came with. However, the refresh rate took a hit on the new smartphone, sitting at 90Hz, while the X50 had support for 120Hz.
In terms of the cameras, the front of the Honor X50i+ has an 8MP selfie shooter, which sits inside an oval cutout. On the back, the smartphone features a 108MP primary camera that’s accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor. Talking of which, the back features an interesting design. It has a circular island, making the device look apart.

Under the hood, the Honor X50i+ features the Dimensity 6080 chipset. It’s a newer chipset than the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, which the Honor X50 came with. Honor paired this SoC with 12GB of RAM. And as for the storage, there are two options: 256GB and 512GB.
The smartphone boots MagicOS 7.2 out of the box. It’s Honor’s Android skin that runs on top of Android 13. In terms of battery, the Honor X50i+ has a 4500mAh cell that can charge at 33 watts. Another great aspect of the device is the weight. It weighs only 166 grams, making it one of the lightest mid-range devices on the market.
