Smartphones have come a long way. But even though they have started coming with extremely capable specs, battery anxiety remains. After all, smartphones are currently the most used devices. And as we all rely on these so much, it’s natural for us to want them to last long after they are unplugged. So, the hunt for phones with best battery life hasn’t yet lost its relevance.
For context, a recent survey has revealed that 72% of smartphone users experience low-battery anxiety. Now, while several factors play a role in keeping your smartphone away from the wall for a long time, the most important is the battery capacity. That automatically means that you should be looking into the mAh ratings when looking for phones with best battery life.
And to make things easier for you, the team over Electronics Hub has held a study. In this, the team looked into the smartphones released in the past few years and rated them according to mAh ratings.
The Methodology of the Study
The team over at Electronics Hub relied on the data from Phonesdata.com. From the data they have collected, the team ranked the phones with best battery life from the three major brands first. These brands are Xiaomi, Samsung, and Apple. Then, they also looked at other phone brands that deliver
Now, while the study may sound simple, the team did get into the details. For example, the study ranked the smartphone brands by the median battery charge capacity. Also, for each of the brands, the team calculated what chunk of models reside within specific brackets of mAh ratings.
Which iPhone has the Best Battery Life?
Looking back, the first iPhone came with a 1400 mAh battery. That allowed Steve Jobs to boast about the phone’s capability to deliver five hours of battery life. But now, iPhones with much bigger batteries have hit the market. Among the recently released phones, the iPhone 15 Pro Max has the best battery capacity.
As the study revealed, it sits at number 1 spot in the iPhone chart. And this eventually results in the phone bearing the best battery life title among iPhones. For context, the iPhone 15 Pro Max comes with a 4422 mAh battery, which can offer up to 14 hours of run time after a full charge.
On the other hand, the iPhone SE 2 has the worst battery life among all the iPhones released recently. It features an 1821 mAh battery, which is not that far from the original iPhone released 13 years ago. You can check out the details of the other iPhones that were tested from the picture attached below.
