Xiaomi has just unveiled the Redmi K70 series in China with the Redmi K70E, K70, and K70 Pro. Each device has its own set of features and particularities. They are expected to reach global markets eventually, but there is still no word on when that will happen. However, a new NBTC certification points to a possible rebranding treatment for the Redmi K70E which can become the POCO X6 Pro outside of China. (Source).
POCO X6 Pro Surfaces on NBTC and BIS certification – It’s a rebadged Redmi K70E
Gizchina News of the week
The smartphone with model number 2311DRK48G appeared on the NBTC certification in Thailand as POCO X6 Pro. You may wonder, what this device has in tow with the Redmi K70E. Well, the Chinese Redmi K70 has the model number 2311DRK48C. The only difference between these two models is the “G” and the “C” letters at the end. The “G” stands for global markets, while the “C” stands for China. To add more context, an Indian version with a similar model number 2311DRK48I passed the local BIS certification. In this case, the id ends with “I, ” representing the Indian market. All these three phones are the same. However, it will have the Redmi K70E designation in China and POCO X6 Pro elsewhere.
Considering this, we can already tell most of the specifications coming with the POCO X6 Pro. The phone will come with a 6.67-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device will pack the MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra SoC at the helm. It will have up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of Internal Storage. The device will draw its power from a 5,500 mAh battery with 90W fast-charging support.
It’s an interesting development for the POCO X Pro series which fell from being an affordable flagship to powerful mid-range phones in the latest iterations. The recent POCO X5 Pro is a decent smartphone, but its performance is nowhere near what the Redmi K70E is. Depending on the price, the device could be an interesting option for those who are looking for decent hardware.
