Infinix has uncovered a brand-new series of smartphones. Named the Infinix Hot 40, the lineup consists of three phones. They are the Hot 40, Hot 40 Pro, and Hot 40i.
Each one of them comes with a large-sized battery and a software feature called Xboost. It’s a gaming engine that optimizes things to make the new Infinix Hot 40 devices offer better performance during gaming. Besides, the other specs of the devices are good for the money.
Main Highlights of Infinix Hot 40 Pro
Among the three, the Infinix Hot 40 Pro is the most feature-packed one. Here’s a quick overview of its key features:
CPU, RAM, Storage, and Screen
On the front, the Infinix Hot 40 Pro comes with a large-sized 6.78-inch screen. It features a Full HD+ resolution and has support for a 120 Hz refresh rate. Combined with a 240 Hz touch sampling rate, this display can deliver smooth and life-like motions.
Under the hood, the Hot 40 Pro packs a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset. Infinix paired this 6 nm SoC with 8 GB of RAM, which is enough for most of the resource-intensive games and apps. As for the storage, you can choose between 128 GB and 256 GB.
Camera Setup
The back of the Infinix Hot 40 Pro comes with a 108 MP sensor. A 2 MP macro sensor sits next to this primary camera with another camera that Infinix calls “AI Cam.” And on the front, the device comes with a 32 MP sensor that’s housed inside a punch hole.
Infinix has integrated special features into this punch-hole cutout. The brand calls the feature Magic Ring, which is basically a Dynamic Island-like notification zone for the Hot 40 Pro. It shows the information on when the phone is being charged, in a call, and is unlocked.
Software, Battery, and Charging Features
Right out of the box, the Infinix Hot 40 Pro runs on XOS 13, which is an Android 13-based skin from the brand. In addition, it brings the Xboost gaming engine, which is capable of enhancing the system’s stability during extreme load. It offers three different modes, which can provide different levels of immersion.
Regarding the battery department, the Hot 40 Pro has a 5000 mAh battery. Infinix says that it can charge from 20% to 75% in just 35 minutes with the 35-watt charger that’s bundled with the box.
Also, there are battery management features that ensure a longer lifespan. Infinix says that the battery can withstand a total of 1600 charge cycles. That’s more than 4 years of plugging and unplugging every day.
Gizchina News of the week
Main Highlights of Infinix Hot 40
The vanilla version of the Infinix Hot 40 shares most of the specs of the Pro model. That includes the overall design, 5000 mAh battery, 6.78-inch screen, and 33-watt charging rate. However, the display of the vanilla model is capped at 90 Hz. Weirdly, it gets a better touch sampling rate, sitting at 270 Hz.
Another difference between the vanilla Infinix Hot 40 and the Pro is the camera setup. Instead of the 108 MP main sensor, the base model gets a 50 MP primary sensor. But it’s paired with the same 2 MP macro and AI Camera. And on the front, it gets the same 32 MP selfie shooter with the Magic Ring feature.
As for the processor, the Infinix Hot 40 has a Helio G88 chipset, which is a 12nm CPU that runs at 2.0 GHz. It’s paired with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of storage.
Key Features of Infinix Hot 40i
The Infinix Hot 40i is the most affordable device out of the three. It comes with a Unisoc T606 chipset under the hood. This is an entry-level chipset that flaunts an octa-core CPU configuration with two performance and six efficiency cores. As for the GPU, the device has the Mali G57 MC1 running at 650 Hz.
On the front, the Hot 40i has a 6.56-inch LCD screen with an HD+ resolution. While it’s a downgrade from the vanilla Hot 40, Infinix has kept the refresh rate at 90 Hz. It has a 180 Hz touch sampling rate, which ensures a smooth overall experience.
When it comes to RAM, you can choose between 4 GB and 8 GB. And the storage options are the same as the Infinix Hot 40 and Pro: 128 GB and 256 GB. As for the camera setup, it has a 50 MP main camera and an AI Camera. And there’s a 32 MP selfie shooter on the front.
The battery also sees a downgrade on the Infinixh Hot 40i. Even though it has 5000 mAh capacity, it can charge at only 18-watt speed.
Availability and Pricing Info
The Infinix Hot 40 Pro comes in four colors. They are Starlit Black, Horizon Gold, Palm Blue, and Starfall Green. The base model comes in the same color options as the Pro version. On the other hand, the Hot 40i comes in Gold, Green, Blue, and Black.
