Back in the last year, Samsung introduced its Self-Repair program for Galaxy devices in the US. Samsung aims to extend product lifespan by enabling users to replace parts and fix their devices quickly. In addition, it incorporates a recycling component where users can return used components for proper recycling, supporting a more environmentally friendly approach to electric maintenance. The Korean firm expanded the program to South Korea, Brazil, Mexico, and select European countries earlier this year. Now, the company is adding its foldable smartphones to the list of eligible devices.
Samsung Adds Foldable Smartphones, new Galaxy Books, and More to the Self-Repair Program
Samsung now revealed that the Self-Repair Program will cover the latest foldable smartphones, tablets, and PCs in South Korea and more European countries. Of course, while all of this is good news, the great novelty here is the addition of the latest Galaxy foldable to the program. The list now includes the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 and Z Fold5. The company will also add the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, the Galaxy Tab S9 series, and the Galaxy Book 2 Pro to the program.

Adding Foldable Smartphones Makes The Program More Powerful
The inclusion of foldable smartphones in the repair program certainly adds more value to it. After all, foldable smartphones are well known for their complex design and build. Samsung is working to make them simple to fix and the inclusion in the program points that even regular users (with some basic skills) can access it to fix these smartphones.
