iQOO is up for a final event in 2023 with the release of the iQOO Neo9 series. The company will debut the iQOO Neo9 and Neo9 Pro on December 27. Ahead of the reveal, the company posted a teaser on Weibo that shows the iQOO Neo9 from different angles and reveals a unique design.
Design Revealed with Unique Dual-Tone Look
As per the post on Weibo, the iQOO Neo9 sports a dual-tone design that combines two materials. The iconic Red and White color option appeared before in leaked renders, and now we have better-looking live images that show this interesting and rather unique design. We’ve seen a couple of dual-tone smartphones in the past, like the old Google Pixel smartphones, but this particular combination (Red and White back) is a first in my record.
One variant includes a matte glass finish spliced with faux leather. Another one is plain glass with a soft-touch finish. The third black version comes with Vivo and iQOO’s recurring fluorite AG glass and does not allow fingerprints to stick. It’s smooth to the touch. It will also have a subtle change of color tone when exposed to sunlight.

The images also confirm a dual-camera setup with two large large holes for the cameras. The LED flash sits aside to help in darker environments and we can see the “NEO” wording below the flash. With the launch date drawing near, we expect iQOO to keep sharing more details about these smartphones.
iQOO Neo9 Pro with Dimensity 9300 passes by Geekbench Benchmark
Besides the new renders, the iQOO Neo9 Pro was spotted on the Geekbench 6.0. According to the benchmark website, the device scored high with a single-core score of 2,235 and a multi-core score of 7,381 points. Under the hood, iQOO’s new phone is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC. It’s MediaTek’s most powerful chipset with 4 x ARM Cortex-X4 cores and 4 x ARM Cortex-A720 cores for extreme performance. This unit is paired with 16 GB of RAM and runs Android 14 OS.
According to the teasers, the vanilla iQOO Neo9 will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset instead. This still means a flagship-like performance, as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 was Qualcomm’s latest chipset until last month.
The iQOO Neo9 Pro is expected to come with a 6.78-inch OLED screen with 2,800 x 1,260 pixels of resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate. The phone will have up to 512 GB of Storage, a 50 MP main rear camera, a 16 MP selfie shooter, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and a 5000 mAh battery with 120W fast charging.
We expect iQOO to keep sharing more details with us through new teasers.
