Earlier this month, Samsung took the wraps off the Samsung Galaxy A15. The company officially began a new generation for the Galaxy A-series with one of the entry devices in this lineup. Now, the company plans to introduce the Samsung Galaxy M15 which will be at the lowest end of this lineup. In terms of specifications, the device will be quite similar to the Samsung Galaxy A15. However, it will have a unique twist when compared to its sibling. The device will launch with a huge 6,000 mAh battery (Source).
Samsung Galaxy M15 – First Details Point to 6,000 mAh battery capacity
The Samsung Galaxy A15 has a 5,000 mAh battery for both its 4G and 5G variants. The Samsung Galaxy M15, on the other hand, will increase this capacity to 6,000 mAh. The device will offer 20% more of endurance when compared to the budget A-series smartphone. Unfortunately, apart from the battery capacity, the details about the Galaxy M15 are still scarce. While the battery capacity sounds exciting, the phone’s main highlight will likely be the four years of software updates.
Gizchina News of the week
We expect the Samsung Galaxy M15 to bring most of the specifications found within the Galaxy A15. The 4G model has a 6.5-inch 90Hz Super AMOLED screen, Helio G99 SoC, 8 GB of RAM, and 256 GB of Storage. It also has a triple-camera setup with a 50 MP main camera, 5 MP ultrawide, 2 MP depth sensor, and a 13 MP front-facing shooter. When it comes to the 5G variant, it only replaces the Helio G99 with a Dimensity 6100+.
The Samsung Galaxy A14 runs Android 14 and One UI 6 straight out of the box. The most interesting fact is that it is eligible for four major Android OS upgrades. This should also be the case for the Samsung Galaxy M15. The long-term support may be a big advantage over competitors, one that will make consumers pick these smartphones over devices that will be left with just one or two Android upgrades.
We expect more details about the Samsung Galaxy M15 to be revealed pretty soon.
