After teasing the Poco X6 lineup for days, Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the smartphone series will debut globally on January 11. The company has now confirmed that the Poco X6 Pro markets with HyperOS. It’s the latest custom Android OS from the company.
For those who missed it, Xiaomi introduced HyperOS in China with the launch of the Xiaomi 14 series. However, the Poco X6 Pro isn’t the first phone with HyperOS to step outside China. As you may know, Xiaomi brought out the Note 13 series with the operating system in India yesterday. But it will definitely be the first smartphone with HyperOS to be available in the global market.
More Details About the Poco X6 Series Have Emerged
In case you missed our previous coverage, the Poco X6 series will have two phones. Xiaomi has confirmed some of the key specs of the X6 Pro. It will be featuring the Dimensity 8300 Ultra SoC. This chipset is an upper mid-range offering from MediaTek, which is capable of offering flagship-grade performance.

To be exact, it achieved 1,464,228 points on the AnTuTu benchmarking tool, which is a very respectable score. With this confirmation, it’s quite clear that the Poco X6 Pro will be a rebranded Redmi K70E. Xiaomi released the K70E in China in November of last year.
Aside from the flagship-grade Dimensity 8200 Ultra, the K70E also comes with a capable camera setup. To be specific, it has a 64 MP primary camera with 8 MP ultrawide and 2 MP macro sensors. You can expect to see a similar configuration on the Poco X6 Pro.
Xiaomi has also offered some key details on the vanilla Poco X6. It will be featuring Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, which confirms that it will be a rebranded Redmi Note 13 Pro. However, unlike the Pro variant, the base X6 will have MIUI 14 instead of HyperOS.
