Last month, Huawei debuted the Enjoy 70 smartphone in China. It came with Harmony OS 4.0 and mid-range specs. Today, the Chinese manufacturer has silently put the Huawei Enjoy 70 Pro on its official online store. It’s currently in the pre-sale phase.
Like the standard version, the Huawei Enjoy 70 Pro comes with mid-range specs. But it does offer a couple of upgrades. For example, instead of the Kirin 710A that was inside the standard variant, the Pro model comes with a Snapdragon SoC. Also, the other core specs of the smartphone saw an upgrade. It even comes with a more elegant design than the standard variant.
Main Highlights of the Huawei Enjoy 70 Pro
As mentioned earlier, the Huawei Enjoy 70 Pro is a better device than the regular version in many criteria. Here’s a brief rundown of its main highlights to give you a better idea about the smartphone:
Design and Display
The standard Enjoy 70 came with a very similar design to the P60 series. Huawei has opted for a more eye-catching design for the Pro model. It adopts rounded corners with a large circular camera island on the back. Seeing the camera setup, you may confuse it with the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.
But this design language is noticeable in other Huawei phones, such as the Huawei Mate 50 series. Nonetheless, the Huawei Enjoy 70 Pro is available in three colors: Snowy White, Obsidian Black, and Emerald Green. Each one of them comes with a gold accent, which complements the color theme of the phone really well.
When it comes to the display, the Enjoy 70 Pro features a 6.7-inch LCD screen. While the standard version could offer HD+ resolution, the Pro variant brings FHD+ resolution. That means you will get a better viewing experience on the new phone.
In addition, the Huawei Enjoy 70 Pro screen supports Always On Display AOD, a feature we don’t usually see in phones without OLED displays. However, it seems that the display doesn’t support a high refresh rate.
SoC, RAM, Storage, and Other Internal Features of Huawei Enjoy 70 Pro
Under the hood, the Huawei Enjoy 70 Pro comes with a Snapdragon 680 chipset. Although it’s a dated mid-range chipset, it’s a better performer than the Kirin 710A that the standard version came with. Huawei has paired this SoC with 8 GB of RAM, which makes the phone capable of handling most day-to-day apps with ease.
Gizchina News of the week
As for the storage, the Enjoy 70 Pro is available in two options. The base variant comes with 128 GB, while the upper-end variant has 256 GB of local memory. A large 5000 mAh battery powers the internals of the device, which can charge at 40W. This fast charging capability should get the battery from 0 to 100% pretty fast.
The Huawei Enjoy 70 Pro integrates dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0 for smooth wireless connectivity. To ensure secure access, the smartphone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Huawei says it can authenticate fingerprints quickly and securely.
As for the software, the Enjoy 70 Pro boots on HarmonyOS 4.0. The OS comes with a good number of optimized features, which ensures a seamless user experience.
Camera Configuration
While the Huawei Enjoy 70 Pro has a relatively good-looking camera island on the back, the setup isn’t too fancy. It has a 108 MP primary sensor, which is only the good part about the rear camera configuration. The other camera on the back is a 2 MP depth sensor.
And while it may appear that there’s a third camera on the back, there’s no sensor there. Huawei implemented such a design to make the camera island look symmetrical.
But the good news is that the main camera can offer 10x zoom for the close-up photo shoots. Also, it can zoom at 8x while you’re taking videos. The smartphone is packed with many photography features, which makes the 108 MP sensor quite versatile.
For selfies, the Huawei Enjoy 70 Pro has an 8 MP front camera. It’s a f/2.0 aperture sensor that also enjoys a lot of camera modes and software features.
Pricing and Availability of the Huawei Enjoy 70 Pro
As mentioned in the beginning, the Huawei Enjoy 70 Pro is currently in the pre-sale phase. It will go on sale on January 10, which is just two days away. Huawei mentions that the first 500 pre-orders will ship with a Huawei tripod selfie stick.
Nonetheless, the base model of the Enjoy 70 Pro with 128 GB of storage is priced at CNY1449, which is around $204. The 256 GB storage variant, on the other hand, has a current listing price of CNY1649, which converts to around $232. Most of the Huawei phones don’t make it outside the Chinese market. And we don’t expect this one to step outside the domestic region either.
