A lot of things are going on at CES 2024. We’ve got brands showcasing their new products, and then we got companies bringing new features to their existing products. Jabra is taking the latter role. It has announced two brand-new features for the Jabra Elite 10 and Elite 8 Active.
For those who missed it, these two Jabra Elite wireless earbuds made their debut late last year. As for the new features, the first one is an on-off toggle for the noise-canceling features of the earbuds. The next one is also coming to both the Elite 10 and Elite 8 Active. It will make the earbuds offer better calling performance.
More About the Two New Updates for the New Jabra Elite Earbuds
The first update will drop later this month. It is basically an on-off toggle for the noise-canceling features. That includes the Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), Sidetone, and HearThrough. For those wondering, Sidetone features on Jabra Elite 10 and Elite 8 Active lets you adjust how much of your own voice you can hear.
On the other hand, the HearThrough allows you to hear your environment when the Jabra Elite 10 and Elite 8 earbuds are on. It’s basically Jabra’s take on the transparency mode of Apple AirPods, which you may be familiar with. This January update will also let the Elite 10 and Elite 8 users customize the name of the earbuds. Yes, Jabra hasn’t yet implemented the feature for the new earbuds.
Next up is the March update, which will optimize the call clarity of the Elite 10 wireless earbuds. Jabra says that its latest ANC tech has become better at identifying the background voices and eliminating them when you’re making calls.
This March update will also boost the HearThrough feature of the Jabra Elite 8 Active, making it offer better performance in windy conditions. You can install these updates to your earbuds when they become available through the Sound+ app.
