Honor 90 5G eSIM Connectivity Support
Honor 90 5G now supports Jio eSIM

Honor Tech’s CEO, Madhav Sheth, declared on X (formerly Twitter) that Jio will be the first carrier in India to enable eSIM connectivity for the Honor 90 5G. Previously, the smartphone did not have support for this feature. The brand has not yet said if it wants to cooperate with additional Indian network providers soon. The officials posted two pictures that demonstrate an operational Honor 90 smartphone with an eSIM connection from Jio. The ability to utilise the eSIM in conjunction with a real SIM card is demonstrated in the second image. Although the phone appears to be using a 4G network exclusively based on the screenshots, we will update you as we learn if 5G functionality is available. To put things in perspective, the firm has not yet included Wi-Fi calling on the latest flagship’s Jio mobile network.

Madhav Sheth went on to say that in the next few months, they will be working with other network providers in the area. Thus, more eSIM compatibility with other significant telecom providers should be on the horizon. Furthermore, months after the Honor 90’s introduction in India, eSIM functionality became available.

To recall, the phone features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The display feature includes a peak brightness of 1,600 nits and a Full HD+ resolution. It is equipped with 512GB of internal storage and up to 12GB of RAM. Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition. In addition, there are stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint reader, Bluetooth 5.2, a thin 7.8mm shell, GPS, and 193 grams in weight.
