More about the Pixel 8 series
In October last year, Google introduced and made available for purchase the Pixel 8 series. There are now two smartphone models in the series. The firm introduced the Pixel 8 series in October 2023. The Pro model came in Obsidian, Porcelain, and Bay colors, while the vanilla variant was available in Hazel, Rose, and Obsidian. Additionally, a third model will launch in 2024. However, we won’t know until next week if the new Minty Fresh color version will be available for the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro together or simply for the Pixel 8 Pro.
In case you are unaware of the Pixel 8 series, the Pro model has a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display. Under the hood, the Google Tensor G3 CPU powers the device. It comes in two configurations: 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Moving to the camera department, the phone equips a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 48MP telephoto lens with a 5x optical zoom, and a 50MP main back camera. A 5050mAh battery with 30W rapid charging is one of the device’s security features, along with face unlocking and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
In contrast, the basic Pixel 8 boasts a 6.2-inch OLED display. The smartphone has a 4575mAh battery and is comparable to the Pro version in terms of security measures. It comes in two configurations: 8GB of RAM and a storage option of 128GB or 256 GB. Moving to the camera department, a 50MP main camera, and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens make up its camera configuration. Both versions have many color choices and are IP68 dust and water-resistant.
