Honor Magic V2 made its official debut in China in July of last year. Until now, the foldable phone remained exclusive to the Chinese market. Of course, it was later showcased at IFA Berlin, but the company didn’t give any details on pricing and availability of the device outside China.
Well, the Honor Magic V2 has now finally stepped outside China with a European launch. The main thing that caught people’s attention during the launch was its thin inward foldable design. As a matter of fact, the phone made it to the headlines as the thinnest inward-folding smartphone in the world. And it still holds the title.
We also got the info on how much the Honor Magic V2 will be priced outside China. You can get yourself one at a starting price of £1,699.99 / €1,999. Availability and pricing details on the other markets are yet to be disclosed by the company.
Moreover, the launch event gave a sneak peek at the Porsche Design Honor Magic V2 RSR. It’s the first smartphone that’s jointly developed by Honor and Porsche Design. Global availability details about this special edition phone are also yet to be announced.

With the Honor Magic V2 launch, foldable phones have entered the millimeter era. It’s just 9.9 mm thick in the folded stage and is just 4.7 mm thick when it’s unfolded. The slim design makes the foldable attain lighter weight too. It’s just 231 grams in weight, making the phone not only pocket-friendly but also comfortable to hold.
To make the Magic V2 get such a slim design, Honor has redesigned the hinge. It utilizes a Super-light Titanium Hinge, which not only makes the phone light but also durable. As a matter of fact, the hinge of the foldable phone is SGS-certified, enhancing the reliability of the smartphone.

Honor didn’t skimp on the protection. It utilized 2nd generation Nanocrystal Glass for the Magic V2, making the smartphone resilient to drops and scratches. To ensure a stable performance, the Honor Magic V2 integrates an Ultra-thin Bionic Cooling System. It can offer a heat dissipation area of 29000 square mm. The foldable phone also has the Honor C1 RF chipset. It enhances the antenna signals and makes the smartphone offer stable reception even in challenging areas.
