Intel ARC Alchemist GPUs: New Driver Update Brings Up to 268% FPS Increase


Intel has just unveiled a new update for the Arc Alchemist GPUs‘ graphics driver. With the new update, many games that are compatible with DirectX 11 and DirectX 12 are getting serious improvements in performance in many distinct configurations with different resolution settings.

A new Update Is rolling out for Intel ARC Alchemist GPUs

One of the examples is Just Cause 4. The game got a massive 268% improvement in the frame rate keeping the 1080p resolution in the Very High Game Settings. Another game is Elex II, which got a performance increment of 101% in the frame rate. The game is also configured at 1080p in the Ultra Settings.

More Games Have been Improved by the new GPU Arc Alchemist Update

In the press release, it’s possible to see the exact improvements in FPS performance in each resolution. The move is not a big surprise, after all, AMD and NVIDIA also rolled out updates recently to improve the performance of their GPUs in some games. Intel has been pushing the Intel ARC series forward in a bid to become one of the relevant players in this field. Compared to NVIDIA and AMD, the ARC series still has a long way to go. However, it’s good to see this level of support to make sure games will be fully compatible and will extract the best of the GPUs.
