vivo Y200e has made its official debut today, which is a refreshed model of the standard Y2000 that launched back in October of last year. The good news is that vivo has made the successor a little more affordable than last year’s model.
While the vivo Y200 started at around $264, the new Y200e has a starting price of around $240. Of course, there’s a reason why the base variant of the Y200e costs less than the Y200 (more on that later). No matter what, the new phone is a solid mid-range device.
Main Highlights of the vivo Y200e
As mentioned earlier, the vivo Y200e is a refreshed model of last year’s Y200. The main difference between the two is that the newer phone comes with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2. To compare, the predecessor packed the 4 Gen 1. This makes the Y200e a little more powerful than last year’s model. But it’s still in the mid-range category.

Now, when it comes to the pricing, the base model of the vivo Y200e has 6 GB of RAM, while the base model of the Y200 has 8 GB of RAM. That’s basically the secret behind a slightly lower price tag. The Y200e does have an 8 GB RAM option available, and it comes with up to 256 GB of storage. If you don’t want to risk a smooth performance, I would suggest choosing the higher-end variant.
Speaking of smoothness, the vivo Y200e comes with a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate for a smooth and crisp visual experience. As for the cameras, the back comes with a triple-camera setup with a 50 MP primary unit. The front has a 16 MP selfie shooter that’s housed inside a centered punch-hole.
vivo addresses durability concerns with an IP54 rating, something that’s not common in mid-range phones. Other highlights of the phone include a 2.5D flat design on the front, Hi-Res audio, a 5000 mAh battery with 44W charging, and two color options (image attached).
