Display: Improve UTG feel and durability
The display of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 is expected to offer an immersive experience with a large foldable screen. This device will come with a 6.4-inch external screen which is a decent adjustment from the predecessor. According to reports, Samsung will improve the touch feel and durability of the ultra-thin flexible glass UTG (Ultra Thin Glass) cover. This will better protect the screen while maintaining the same thickness and curvature.
Hinge & Body thickness
The hinge technology plays a significant role in enhancing the display by allowing the phone to lie flat when needed, minimizing the gap when closed. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 mobile phone will adopt a new hinge design, combined with an improved drip hinge. This is expected to bring a different experience from the previous generation products. According to previous patents, this device will come with a specialized hinge that will support its thinner and wider design.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 will be lighter and thinner than the previous generation. The new model is only 11 mm thick and will be wider than the previous generation.
UDC under-screen camera & body material
Samsung will improve the under-screen camera. In addition to increasing the number of pixels (the current model is 4MP), it will also improve the aperture and appearance. Both the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Fold5 feature an under-screen camera hidden beneath the phone’s main display. This is primarily used for video calls and facial recognition for unlocking the device. There are also reports that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 mobile phone will be made of titanium alloy, super strong and other combinations.
Design & Weight
Samsung will make a statement with the Galaxy Z Fold6 design. At the moment, Samsung has the thickest foldable phones among competing products in the mainstream market. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is one of the thickest foldable phones in the mainstream market. When folded, it measures 13.4mm in thickness, making it bulkier compared to some competing products. For instance, the Google Pixel Fold and OnePlus Open are thinner at 12.1mm and 10.1mm, respectively. Also, the Z Fold 5 weighs 253g, while the Honor Magic V2 is lighter at 237g. These figures highlight the differences in thickness and weight among the various foldable phones.

I always welcome thinner and a wider external screen, I am disappointed by no S Pen slot and if the cameras aren’t upgraded I may seriously consider going back to the S – Ultra Series. I have loved the Z fold, but still use a S23 Ultra for trips due to the camera, Im getting tired of having 2 premium phones because of the weak camera on the Fold.
