Realme has announced a smartphone in the Indonesia and Malaysian markets. It’s the Realme 12+, which became the third member of the company’s 12 series. Previously, the brand debuted the 12 Pro and 12 Pro+, both of which came with an exquisite design.
We see a similar type of design for the Realme 12+, but it is a bit cheaper. It launched with a starting price tag of $267 in Indonesia. And for the price, the device brings good overall specs, making it a good pick for anyone looking for a mid-range smartphone.
Main Highlights of Realme 12+
While the Realme 12 Pro+ and 12 Pro came with Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 and Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, the Realme 12+ comes with the Dimensity 7050. It’s a mid-range chipset from MediaTek, which can offer similar performance to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 in most aspects.

Realme has paired that chipset with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, which is good enough for a mid-range phone. On the front, the Realme 12+ comes with a 6.7-inch screen with FHD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. This AMOLED screen houses the 16 MP selfie camera in a punch-hole cutout.
On the back, the phone comes with a 50 MP Sony LYT-600 sensor, which plays the role of the main camera for the phone. It offers 2x in-sensor zoom, has a dedicated portrait mode, and sports OIS to deliver steady pictures and videos. Realme has paired this sensor with a 2 MP macro cam and an 8 MP ultrawide.
