Additionally, users now have control over their read receipts with the “Toggle Read Receipts” option. This feature allows users to decide whether to display read receipts for all chats or only for specific ones. Users can adjust this setting in their account settings under “Messages and story replies,” providing a tailored level of privacy.
Saving and utilizing favorite stickers has become more convenient with the ability to save them in DMs. Users can simply press and hold on a sticker to save it for quick access in future conversations. Furthermore, users can respond to messages with a variety of media, including stickers, GIFs, videos, photos, and voice messages, adding a layer of personalization to their interactions.
To enhance the visual aspect of conversations, users can now personalize chats with different themes. Whether planning an event or engaging in casual conversations, users can choose from themes like Love (soon to be animated), Lollipop, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and more. Changing the theme is as simple as tapping the chat name, entering the themes section, and selecting the desired theme.
In a statement, Meta expressed its commitment to continually improving the Instagram messaging experience, aiming to maintain a delightful and private platform for users to connect. The company hinted at more exciting features on the horizon, encouraging users to stay tuned for future updates.
