Teased last month, the iQOO Z9 has made its official debut in India. Just like the teaser suggested, the new smartphone brings an attractive design that’s paired with good mid-range specs.
What’s even more important is that the iQOO Z9 is debuting with an attractive price tag. The base model costs INR 19,999 (around $240), which makes it a proper competitor against the Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G and Realme 12+.
Main Highlights of the iQOO Z9
Under the hood, the iQOO Z9 packs the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset. This SoC can deliver a much better performance than the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 and Dimensity 6080 that’s found in phones with close price tags. The SoC paired with 8 GB of RAM, which is barely enough these days. However, the good part is that iQOO has implemented a software feature that adds virtual memory.
As for storage, there are two options available: 128 GB and 256 GB. If that’s not enough internal storage for you, you can use the dedicated microSD card slot to expand to 1 TB.

Besides, the iQOO Z9 comes with an attractive primary camera on the back. It’s the Sony IMX882, which is a high-end 50 MP sensor that sports OIS for even better captures. There’s also a secondary camera on the back, but it’s just a basic 2 MP depth sensor.
On the front of the iQOO Z9, there’s a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen. It features an FHD+ resolution, 1800 nits peak brightness, 300 Hz touch sampling rate, and 120 Hz refresh rate. This is a good screen for the price point, and it houses a 16 MP selfie camera in a centered punch hole on top. In terms of battery capacity, the smartphone comes with a 5000 mAh cell that can offer 44W fast charging.
Other highlights of the phone include 4K video recording at 30 FPS, Bluetooth 5.3, 5G connectivity, and support for dual nano SIM cards.
